4 Days in Myrtle Beach — The Grand Strand Buddies Trip

📍 Myrtle Beach, South Carolina

4 Days$$weekbuddies-tripvalue

Five rounds, four nights, and the entire Grand Strand at your fingertips. Myrtle Beach is the buddies-trip capital of America for a reason — Pete Dye, Davis Love, and Arnold Palmer designs at prices half what you'd pay almost anywhere else. Warm up at Tidewater, double-up at Barefoot, hit the Pawleys gems (Caledonia, True Blue), and finish big at King's North.

Day-by-Day

Day
1
Arrive + Warm-Up at Tidewater
✈️ Fly into Myrtle Beach International (MYR) — short drive to nearly every course on this trip
🏨 Check into a beachfront stay or a golf-package resort
Afternoon: Tidewater Golf Club — peninsula course with Intracoastal and Cherry Grove Inlet views. Stunning water views on nearly every hole and a relaxed pace to ease into the trip.
🍺 Dinner along Restaurant Row in North Myrtle Beach — plenty of options for any group size
💡 Tidewater is a 'wait, this is Myrtle Beach?' kind of course — the water views set the bar for the rest of the trip without beating you up.
Day
2
Barefoot Resort Double
Morning: Barefoot Resort — Love Course — Davis Love III with sweeping Intracoastal views. The most photogenic of the four Barefoot layouts.
🥪 Lunch at the Barefoot clubhouse
Afternoon: Barefoot Resort — Dye Course — Pete Dye at full creativity. Water everywhere and the toughest test at Barefoot. Bring extra balls.
🌅 Sunset on the Intracoastal — Anchor Cafe or one of the Barefoot Landing spots
💡 Pick any two of the four Barefoot courses and you can't go wrong — Love + Dye gives you the prettiest plus the toughest in one day. Swap in Fazio or Norman if your group prefers.
Day
3
Pawleys Day — Caledonia + True Blue
🚗 Drive 30 minutes south to Pawleys Island — the polished, antebellum side of the Grand Strand
Morning: Caledonia Golf & Fish Club — Spanish moss, antebellum clubhouse, and consistently ranked among the best courses in the South. The most photographed back nine in Myrtle Beach.
🦐 Lunch at the Caledonia Fish Camp — famous for post-round oysters
Afternoon: True Blue Plantation — Mike Strantz's sister course to Caledonia. Different feel, equally gorgeous, every bit as good.
🏖️ Drive back to your hotel — a quiet evening by the beach
💡 These two are bucket-list rounds you can play back-to-back for less than a single round at Pebble Beach. If the trip has one mandatory day, this is it.
Day
4
King's North + Fly Home
Morning: Myrtle Beach National — King's North — Arnold Palmer design with the famous island-green par-5 6th ('The Gambler'). Consistently ranked top-3 in Myrtle Beach.
🥂 Wrap-up brunch or one last beachfront lunch
✈️ Fly out of MYR — already planning round six
💡 End the trip on a high — and definitely go for the island green in two.
